In Western and Indian astrology, the astrology chart is divided into 12 months. Each month has a sign. These 12 months are the 12 signs of the astrology calendar. In Chinese astrology the chart is not divided by 12 months, but by 12 years. Every year is named after a certain animal or creature, which is also the sign of the people born in that year.
